Nice little Ryzen 8000G serie, i am happy they don't push up the price too much.

That is a certainly fastest IGPU but only usecase i could imagine this thing could have is handheld devices.

Undying:

There are SFF builds that could really take advantage of this. The GPU is similar to what you find in some of the mobile 7000 series APUs but not so limited by power delivery and cooling. So, this could be good for people who want something small and/or portable but not crippled by being in a laptop. It is rather niche though. I still think a 8600G3D (with the v-cache dedicated to the iGPU) would be the best entry-level chip. At this point, AM5 isn't going to have quad-channel memory, so the only way to squeeze in more bandwidth is with a bigger cache.

Awesome review as always , thank you @Hilbert Hagedoorn . Great APU . nice to see a big improvement over the 5700G APU. But i think we are not there yet ( Full 1080p high 60fps ).

The price here is way too high unfortunately. A combo of a cheap CPU like a 2 gen old i3 and a RX 6500 or RX 6600 improves performance by like double.

Updated: added integrated graphics game results at conclusion pages.

good review Hilbert. The problem with AM5 to build a mini PC with these APUs is the price of the mini-ITX boards. It is more profitable to buy mini PCs already assembled.

I just realized something that would be really cool: How come AMD and Intel don't add support for HDMI input for their iGPUs? You need some hefty processing power to do low-compression 4K video encoding, and if you've got a dGPU then the iGPU is kinda just sitting there being useless most of the time. One of the iGPU's HDMI ports can swap from being an output to an input, while the other acts as a passthrough. Perhaps the 8700G is a little overkill for something like this, but I've always been irritated by iGPUs being wasted silicon most of the time.
