Obvious trick: there is no mention of a designation of the CPU (it's "real name") - you cannot purchase a CPU for which you only know how many GHz it runs on, right? You cannot make a purchase from a shop asking an "Intel-made CPU that runs on 3.8GHz" to be delivered to your home etc.

If the 8 core Ryzen really have a turbo clock of 4.2 Ghz then its base clock should probably in the range of 3.6 - 3.8 Ghz which is a pretty impressive achievement for an 8 core CPU.

One early leaked chart showed 250$ for 6core, I doubt 8Core will be just 275€.

From experience i learned to dislike all the hype accumulating from little bits of information preceding a release. Usually the level of hype is directly proportional with the level of disappointment afterwards. Let's wait for it to appear, benchmark it and analyze the results, until then anything is (educated) speculation.

If is @4.00GHz base must be the 4c 8t one but if is the Turbo clock could be a 6c 12t one
