The Value is just insane for those. Great review.

I like the review and the conclusion page
@cryohellinc value is insane , but it depends with what graphic card you pair it with . No one will have this + 2080 ... So , as HH stated this would have been perfect with igp ... And in my opinion .... At least 20 bucks cheaper .

Hope AMD sells a loooot of these.
Agreed that they should have IGP though.

Budget champions, that 3300x is impressive and like we thought a 7700k performance at 120$. I dont think even intel 10 gen i3's will match this.

It's pretty funny to think that a few years ago this kind of CPU, 4/8, was the top of the mainstream and thus plenty of people would have paired it with the best Nvidia could offer in terms of GPUs. But now, obviously, we can state more or less nobody would pair this with the best latest video card, aside from reviews and other testing purposes.

65watts huh. Or is that just the heat sink like with the 3600?
stunning value.
Goodly review.

Second hand i7 4790/k 4770/k 7700/K prices just got hammered very badly , especially when the new B550s come out there will be no reason for them 😀

Love Ryzen! Really content with my move to AMD after all these years. This one looks like great value as well.

My Ryzen 3700X PC shows idle consumption between 57 and 70, typically. I have the relic Radeon 390, three old spinning HDDs (in addition to three SSDs), a 240mm AIO cooler, and the unncessarily power hungry X570 chipset, so my PC shouldn't be exactly extremely optimised for low wattage. However, AMD still has ways to go with the overall power consumption, I'd say. You don't need to do much to get the power use to jump up. It's probably due to the Ryzen CPU not knowing any other states but the core sleep or turbo as much as it can. You even need to alter the AMD optimised power plan to get the CPU to downclock in use at all, but even so it's not like the cores would like to use the downclocked state, even if it occasionally drops there. At least when you idle, the active core(s) in use will use the somewhat downclocked state. I can't help but think this weird behavior will raise the average power consumption compared to the Intel systems, where the cores will have multiple possible clock states and they will only clock as high as they need to for any specific task.
I measure the power consumption of the whole PC with a separate device.
BLEH!
I'd be very tempted by the APU version (given the current ones are still on Zen 1.5???). Though again we had rumours of the current twin-die approach with one 8 core CPU cluster and another GPU die... dunno if that will ever materialise.

for what those cpu are and there price they are little beasts, especial compared to intels current 4/8 offering which are what twice as much? it out performance 400$ 4/8t cpu in some cases. and how much is intel charging for the current 4/8 cpu? I highly 🙄
AMD has been roll the past few years and they need to keep it up, cause intel need to come back to reality where they can skirt on there name alone to sell the overpriced cpu

How much tech have evolve...Im here with my also 4Core i5 750 crying in the corner..

Desktop versions of 4000 APUs would likely be much a better choice for <= 8 core.

So it's way better than my 6c/12t 2600X. The 3300X at least is a better chip for gaming than the 2600X which was roughly around the same price.
(On Sale 21st May @ £114.99 inc. vat)
I expect these to do well for budget gaming machines but i'm just waiting for the 4000 series procs.

I think I'll upgrade my dad Desktop (currently has a Phenom II X4 with an SSD and some low end nvidia 6xx card) with one of these Zen 2 processors and make the whole rig ITX.
These CPUs are just made bread
