I kind of wish Nvidia would get rid of the DVI and just give me 2 HDMI's and 3 Displayports. I have too many monitors =(

Don't know where you're looking. OcUK have 1080 from £524 up.
Is it maybe KFA2 1080? What about you post some other brands pricing? You are just like your buddy Stormy.

What exactly is wrong with him doing that? Inno3D has one at £550, MSI £560, Palit £570, Gainward £575, Zotac £578, EVGA, £579 All of those are lower then £600.

Yeah, show me these "modern" Freesync monitors that is 27", 1440p, IPS/PLS, 120hz. You do realise such monitors either don't exist or cost a LOT.
(just checked) They cost a leg, but equivalent GSync screen cost same leg + $175 on top of that. Freesync even in High refresh rate IPS costs around 20% less than GSync. That's basically free RX-470. So, anyone deciding for FreeSync or GSync: Buy 2x RX-480 + FreeSync Or 1x 1070 + GSync AMD solution is cheaper and in nearly all demanding scenarios stronger.

It is a missleading, dont you think? Stormy was posting how 1070 is only 400£ (KFA2) and then left to buy MSI gaming X 1070 thats like 50-60£ more.

As opposed to what, saying all the 1080s are above £600? How is that not misleading?

Except the ones of dx11 and those relying on crossfire to work with good scaling. Just sayin, same old story of single GPU vs multiGPU, dx11 drivers of AMD (which have indeed improved greatly I think). Gsync always was 150$ more, wasn't it like 150$ more than 'normal' screens with same stats without Gsync? Because I think remembering so, might be wrong though. What other's have said too, and which people tend to forget, it's not just the hardware you get with Nvidia, you get a couple of neat features too like tunable drivers etc. So if one thinks the ecosystem behind the price tag is worth it, it's people's decision. Just let them buy what they want...

All of those are higher priced, FS or GS, if you hunt for a deal you can get them for an alright price in the US. I'd rather have a refurb. or spend a bit more to get a proper brand but, there are Korean panels with connectors other than DVI now for people that would rather save a bit.

That 'ecosystem' is like advertisement for house. "Buy house from us and we will equip your garden with plastic grass, mine field and Sulfuric Acid sprinklers to keep neighbors' animals at bay." That ecosystem for which I am not buying nVidia cards for so many years.

No it's not. Anything else I can help you with? Why don't you just check out OcUK for yourself? I'm not here to spoon feed you. No idea who stormy is. Now relax.

Yes, I bought the MSI GTX1070 Gaming X off the back of HH's review. Nothing wrong with that. Did you also see my post re: KFA2 where I questioned the quality of such a cheap brand? That still doesn't take away from the fact cheaper products DO exist. In the GTX1080 thread I also questioned cheap GTX1080's which is what I was originally going to get. I ended-up with GTX 1070 cause it gives enough performance that I want, I saved some money and put £20 towards extra cooling fans for my case. Also, please don't over-inflate prices. At the time of purchase, my card was £419, certainly not your over-exaggerated quote "50-60£ more". And just to clarify this, the KFA2 cheap product is this one; https://www.overclockers.co.uk/kfa2-geforce-gtx-1070-reference-blower-8192mb-gddr5-pci-express-graphics-card-70nsh6dhk6vk-gx-090-kf.html That's £365. My one is this one; https://www.overclockers.co.uk/msi-geforce-gtx-1070-gaming-x-8g-8192mb-gddr5-pci-express-graphics-card-gx-32a-ms.html That went up in price by £10 yesterday due to popularity. That's £430, half of your £60. edit: Final word on this, at overclockers.co.uk there are exactly 14 GTX1080 products below the £600 mark, so, there you go. Check it yourself, we're not making it up as we go, you know?

No DVI port... oh well, looks like korean monitor owners won't be happy with it.
It will maty https://i.imgsafe.org/2ad730e032.jpg From what i can tell a $200 item usually costs around £180 that includes VAT and taxes but we will wait and see. But i have seen some custom going for more but they are not the $200 cards. I will be buying one of these because i can crossfire onto my existing cards and gain 50% for next to no money its just insane value for money.

RX-460 with cooling weaker than many chipsets have... Reminds me of GF-MX4000. Just change of cooling allowed me to reach 50% OC.
ahh my precious mx4000 😀 i saved for 3 months for that!!!

Exaggerating prices of the 10xx series has become a popular activity lol, but as for rx480, it should be around 250 for 4gb, 300 for 8gb. The catch being youll probably only find reference version with 4gb. Euros btw

Am I the only one starting to get annoyed with every Polaris or RX 480/470 thread becoming a GTX 1070/1070 price argument thread?

I'm not annoyed but it's funny to watch.

Eh, seems like there's not much else to do until we get some real world results/prices for these cards.

Good find, thanks mate. Hope it will come true.

I think it is funny, because it is like plague. AMD section is full of nVidia owning people talking about nVidia cards and how great they are. I am not checking nVidia section, as I have no need for that, but do you have many trolls there doing same? Or is it actually some disease which comes within green box these days?
