Thanks Hilbert...I did not want to post it on the frontpage news as I did not know what NDA you may or may not have.

Nice info, slides are what they are but some nice details too and not just marketing. 😀 (Those are some pretty big staples for ~8% gains heh but well this type of marketing / showcasing isn't anything new though it's still funny to see it used.)
(Will be interesting to see how these are when released, not super interested in the upcoming additions myself but I'm sure they'll be of use if you have the hardware to use them.)
EDIT: Wonder how 8K would be with a AMD GPU in more recent games, DSR caps out at 3840x2160 / 3840x2400 for GCN 1.2 GPU's (Fury/Nano) and for the 480 it caps to 5120x2880 / 5120x3200 I think it would be at 16:10 as of the most recent drivers but neither the Fury or the 480 has the power (Or VRAM I guess for the Fury.) to drive that resolution though I suppose it's good to see initial support even if it's going to be extremely demanding even with Crossfire setups. (And that's if scaling is at all decent in the first place.)
(I used GeDoSaTo up to "10K" to call it that in old DX9 games and that pretty tough on the GPU so yeah though then again Vega 10 and 11 should be out next year whether that's the rumored 490 or the 580 / Fury Pro and what else it's been called lately.)
EDIT: Well there's media playback too I suppose but there's likely not much 8k capable TV hardware out at this point and media wise I don't think even the porn industry has reliable 8k content as of yet. :P
(And then there's VR - including gaming and not just "media" I mean. :P - but yeah 3840x2160 for each eye and you'd want 60hz / FPS stable at a minimum and probably 120 ideally, we're not quite there yet far as I know though being early with support doesn't have to be bad or anything of course ha ha.)
EDIT: Undecided on AMD Chill, if I'm playing some demanding 3D game I'd prefer the GPU to be active but eh it has it's uses I suppose, nice to see Wattman support extended although I guess since the hardware differs the range of support will vary a bit from one GPU model to another.
(You can do voltage adjustments via Afterburner just fine though across several generations of AMD GPU hardware so I don't see why it wouldn't work in Wattman but we'll see how it's added, guessing it'll be a bit conservative as to not go crazy on the GPU power levels and such heh.)

Well it all looks interesting now I am a bit eager.

PlayReady 3.0 support?

Congrats to Red team users, seems like nice stuff. 🙂

Wattman isn't coming for GCN 1.0 aka the HD 7000 cards it seems. I wonder if this is another artificial limitation like VSR was. I don't think Radeon Chill will have compatibility with HD 7000 cards either.

I wonder what in God's name is a R9 260? It's supposed to be R9 280. And if that's the cases, R9 280 is GCN 1.0.

I didn't know they even had embargos for drivers, seems odd to me.

Well all this new features are welcome and refreshing for us amd users , good times ahead ! Now bring me my 490X i say ...

AMD is improving their driver interface and performance. I really like what they did with their Crimson panel. It's good they are improving their driver performance and bring new features.

AMD in-house DVR?!...I prayed AMD did this, get rid of all that baggage dealing with OBS, OBS VCE, Bandicam that hug your GPU resources like the plague and aren't simple solutions. Finally something in line with Shadowplay. Hope it delivers.

Really glad of my R7 269X (GCN1.1) sorry for GCN1.0 users
Undying
I dont feel left out as gcn1.0 user. Some limitations is to be had. Even though 7970 is still put acceptable performance, card is old we should not be expecting much.

New Media SDK is great, lets see if HEVC and two-pass encoding are released now. I'm about to buy my new GPU and i was all in for GTX1060 because encoding capabilities, but if AMD just give a good impression with new SDK MEDIA for Polaris and functional features i can rethink my way to 480.
