Not seeing any stores here yet having them listed, though then again launch and availability can be a bit separate at times. 😀 Wonder how fast this one will sell out? And what the initial listing price will be? EDIT: Ah there's one. https://net2world.se/gigabyte-radeon-rx-vega-56-8g?fee=26&fep=185203ref=prisjakt About 600 Euro after conversion, which is just a little bit shy of the '64 which is starting to normalize down to between 6000 to 7000 SEK depending on the store. (They're all pretty much reference so no major difference between the GPU's yet.) Any other European country as a contender for worst prices on tech? (Probably, we're up there near the top though I'm pretty sure on that.)

I managed to snap one up at mindfactory.de for 409 €. They released them 15 minutes earlier but I had a small DIY bot checking every 5 minutes since yesterday so I got a notification 😉 They're all sold out now.

...and i am saying again if amd wants to make competitive prices v56 must be 350$ max and v64 450$ or else nvidia will destroy them to pieces
AMD fans will still pay more for AMD hardware, even if it's lower price-to-performance than Nvidia. Even if they cards are more expensive, produce more heat, suck more power, etc. their fans will rationalize it by pointing to FreeSync being cheaper than G-Sync - nevermind how many of them actually bought FreeSync monitors... Any remaining stock will be snatched up by the miners, so AMD is going to sell every single card they make for quite a while. They won't sell nearly as many as Nvidia, and Nvidia still owns the gaming market, but AMD will sell their cards.

Only differnce. Gysnc vs freesync. Both 29 inch 21:9 and both panels did 80hz. Nothing higher. The fact my R9 Fury still runs pretty any game high/ultra settings even up 3840x1600 is not bad at all for its age now. Personally, I hate Nvidia drivers. They are slow as hell, and rather clunky in this day and age even with an SSD. Lets not even get started with geforce experience, while it has gotten better lately, is still force login in crap for game stream on my 2nd rig. Not to mention, Nvidias HDTV HDMI scaling on older TVs is pure effin garbage. Sounds like most clowns want 2006-2008 all over again. Screw that. Nvidia was turning into Intel, and its happening again.

As many members said already, why on earth would somebody in his right mind buy a Vega (except mining where I did not see any benchmark yet) when there are better products from Nvidia ? Sincerely, please somebody answer factually, not with "drivers are better, the logo is nicer, or I use it to heat my home".

The 56 looks to be a great card, just need to wait for customs.

Can find them in the UK, the high prices must be putting people off.

I buy AMD cards to support the competition. I mostly use them as computing cards though (I can't bear to part with my GTX 1080 for gaming). CUDA dominates the computing scene, and I want to do my part in countering it, since I prefer an open standard like OpenCL over a proprietary one like CUDA. If I could get a Vega 56 for anything near the MSRP then I might go for it. It'd be a nice replacement for my aging EVGA 780 Classified, which draws too much power for its compute performance and can't mine ETH to save its life (2 MH/s, LOL). I don't expect prices to normalize for a long time though.

In that case right minded people(Except miners!) who wants perf/price will buy Nvidia cards but since this ethereum fever nvidia has too increased prices so we are left in middle, too bad there is no other gpu manufacturer we really need it..
Nvidia didn't raise the prices. 3rd party did.

Could have ordered one for 406€ this afternoon while it was literally just listed on hardware.fr ... Wanted the status on the now out of stock GTX1070 I ordered from them which should have shipped today to maybe cancel it, but by the time they gave me the typical "lol dunno, you'll be advised in 48h max" answer it was all sold out too... I looked like my avatar when I realized I goofed up... I still need a graphic card rapidly... Such bad timings...

I would say first ones to say they have it? I mean honestly usually I do not tend to overclock cards, but some aftermarket cards come overclocked out the box or run cooler even.
