Sounds like 2005 all over again, just different numbers 🙂

If that 420W is correct, I hope the 30W difference is an absolute number retained in the lesser models. So, a mainstream card would also consume 30W less than an Nvidia equivalent. Then it would start to make a difference.

Looks as though I'm waiting for that 7950XTX - just release it already!

Well the 4090 pulls "only" 325 watts during gaming.

Every RX7900XT comes with a free 7700X CPU

they should add the dimension of the graphics card in reviews too. Having a gpu that cannot fit in most tower cases and that has issues for the power connectors distance is a thing that should be evaluated.

And the AMD one would pull 295W? That's what I'm talking about. However, any AMD numbers are, in the end, totally useless rumours before the reviews. Furthermore, the numbers of the flagships still don't tell much about the mainstream cards most would be buying.

Crossing fingers for faster updated "game ready" drivers from AMD, More important than beating the 4090 in my oppinion.

Go go release that stuff so buyers can make educated decisions. The rest is just useless dancing around the fire.

I wonder if they will release any WCed version at decent prices as per the 4090, every new card means a significant hike in waterblock prices it seems.

This launch will be quite interesting.

Are we starting with the AMD rumors now? A lot of the RTX4090 rumors turned out to be nonsense, I assume the same will hold for the RX 7900XT rumors. Let's just wait until these things are introduced and benchmarked by independent reviewers and then draw any conclusions based on real data i.s.o the "suspect" data coming from rumor mongers..

Just give us a reasonable priced 200mm2 GPU, please? No? Ok 🙁

Yes! XTX is the correct way to name their flagship, I love this. If the chip is the same as in the RX 7800 XT, then I guess it should be RX 7800 XTX, like the RX 6900 XT should have been RX 6800 XTX in my opinion, but this is better than not having XTX naming at all. I guess they will not abandon the x900 tier anymore after just introducing it, and it is fine to use I repeat if it uses a different chip, but otherwise the coolest name for the flagship would be RX 7800 XTX, and if it would get refreshed then perhaps RX 7850 XTX. The xx50 part is not particularly to my taste, but I guess it is clear enough to signal that the card is a refreshed version.

Anyone know what type of power connectors these will have?
