If they are only thinking of mobile and miners, then sure, if they really got the efficiency up, it would already be a victory. It would be next to meaningless for gamers, though, apart from the few who try to game on the road.

If AMD is making 2018 a gap year for GPU's it certainly is a shame. Nvidia will launch something for sure (even if just a rebrand, same tech on new production node) plus with the mining craze we need new SKU's because prices are not coming down for old ones.

Not being rude but this ain't AMD's fault blame INTEL for bribing other companies to only sell INTEL products back in the 90's and 2000's. I worked for BESTBUY tech department in the 2000's and we were forced to to sell more INTEL then AMD products and this was when AMD was curb stomping INTEL. Yes the manager use to pull us aside after seeing the numbers and wanted us to sell as much INTEL powered products as possible. LOL his own words were, " WE DON"T MAKE COMMISSION BUT WE GET A GREAT INCENTIVE OR LARGER MARGIN ON INTEL STUFF." Good ole store in CT located on the post road.............. Oh also that trader that now works for INTEL on GPU's and selling out AMD. No other company would last as long rescue AMD like Lisa Su.
