I have a feeling that this is an RX 550 4gb refresh.

I guess next month we will have RX5300/5500/5600, great but where is rx5800?

A better question would be where is the 5700XT cause i sure can't find one in Canada. AMD really need to address availability of their cards. They might lose a sale if i can't find one soon.

Kind of surprising - seems like they are readily available in the US.

I'd like to know what took so long for the B550(A) chipset to make itself known ? if its not got any PCIe4, then its almost a re-brand of the B450, unless its been migrated to a new process node ? The German website says they would be available for delivery between the 8th and 9th October. i guess that would mean we are going to be seeing some announcements on the 7th October, or around there?

I knew it! I just knew it.:( 😳 Right after I'll buy B450 chipset, the B550 will be released was my main distressful thinking. Now, let's see how it behaves and what brings to the table.

I just said: "screw it" I went and bought a B450 motherboard. It will support the same CPUs as the B550 and I didn't have to wait months without knowing anything. I doubt B550 will be much different from B450 tbh.

@Silva man, misery loves company. /Cries on B450 chipset tears. /End Nah, we will be just fine. What could possibly have this one if already X570 is launched and we still went for B450?

From the specs, I seriously don't see what the hell held ASMedia up in releasing this. It looks like a carbon copy of the B450, but there could be more chipset lanes I suppose... edit : Going mATX though, I was limited by the only mATX X570 Board, which isn't great, and there is one more now. Not exactly choice. At the time I went B450M 🙂 Still happy though.

Everyone be happy with the b450 the b550 will surely be a rebrand with little or nothing new over the b450 even if it did come with pci-e 4 what are u going to use that needs it?

I imagine AMD held these back to sell more x570s
