I would love to be proven wrong, but historically a card of that size will not be able to match its full sized counter-part, same power draw or not. I feel AMD's marketing is going to set this one up for a nasty flop when people run out and buy it and then get upset at the less-than-expected performance they get from the card.

I also don't see how it can have the same specs as the FuryX and use 100w less. Unless it is actually being made on a smaller process.
maybe the pump consumes 100w 🙂

2 days to go until your review Hilbert? I'm curious how a pair of these would compare to my current R9 295x2...
Doubt it, the performance can't be revealed until the 10th Sept. :P

I would expect throttling to stay at that tdp, it says up to 1000mhz, plus its small dinky cooler and just 1 8 pin too.

Is the 27th just a paper launch and doesn't lift the Reviewer NDA?

$649 for R9 Nano.
and that's US dollars so at that price point it wont be being bought by many if they want people to buy their stuff they really need to make the price attractive enough for people to want it and I just don't see that here

Gonna change your system specs now?

$650 for this thing? Why? I'm much less enthusiastic, assuming this performs at 85-90% of the Fury level. If I were spending that kind of money right now, the 980ti would be the only way to go. The only thing nice about the Nano/Fury is the 4K performance, otherwise, why would someone buy it? Because it's kind of small? Perhaps for the historically awesome AMD driver support? With Pascal around the corner, I'm not buying anything soon anyways. AMD sure isn't making the decision any harder.

Anything over 550$ becomes unaffordable at least for me as that means 800-900$ after conversion.

If thats the price then how on earth is this product gonna claw back any market share? 980ti is a no brainer. You can still build a small pc and squeeze in a 980ti so it's size doesnt really win the day...

Yes sir already did & order MSI R9 390 & Evga 750w PSU last night. times like these you got to show the company that you not stupid & you vote with your wallets. i'm sad that the price of the Nano was $649, $399 should be great or even $449 but not $649, that $200 extra.

AMD Market Team & PR Team maybe was playing a game of "Let guess the price of the R9 Nano" blind fold & random pick out a price out of a bag.
