I already have 2 XFX 290x ref GPUs, I wonder if I should sell them for this single slot x2 GPU? Or wait for the ASUS varient?

Competition is always a good thing for consumers... It’s about Amd/Nvidia wanting to win, working to win and preparing to win... Gotta love Competition...

Competion is good, but all tho i think 790 prolly gonne win with the price of 3000$? I think 295X will win no matter what only becouse its prolly around 1500$ instead of 3000$ 790 maybe few fps faster but it will cost yah 1500$:P This offcorse is speculation on my part maybe AMD pricetag also around 3000$ hehe.

^ Titan Z is not the 790, like the Titan Black isn't the 780Ti. The 790 won't be $3000. Anyway looking forward to the review, I'd like to see how well that cooler will turn out.

If a 790 does come, it'll probably be a lower specced Titan Z, id expect AMD to clock the 295x2 decently, seen as its going to have a hybrid cooler, or be fully watercooled, but its AMD so..., just have to wait and see. :P

Doesn't look like they would need to hold back with the hybrid cooler so it'll be a nice review. Would be nice to the 790 clocked at 1Ghz but I doubt it

titan z is the 1 thats 3000, a 790 would be substantially cheaper.

I think AMD will win the Dual GPU solution round again like the HD 7990. Let's face it, the HD 7990 was a better value after the drivers were fixed. Personal opinion, but it's hard to say until/if we see a GTX 790.

I doubt it, AMD is not capable of winning this time, 780ti is much more powerful than 290x, if a 790 is based on 780ti and has 6gb (2x3GB) it will easily beat 295x2 🙂 if it's based on 780 non-ti then AMD will be the winner so simple i think.

Depends. 290x is faster than 780ti at 4k. I'm sure they will be benched at 4k, for most part. At anything below 4k the 790 (if it is indeed 2x780ti) will be faster, no doubt.

Depends on how high/low they clock it.

I guess ~750 - 900€
