Color control is here on R9 290, Watmann and Chill is working fine as well.

Hint: We have global color control enabled, per-display color settings is limited to Polaris and newer only 😉

I might need to do a fresh driver install R9 290 missing Chill feature I dont use it like but its not showing for me.

Are you using the standalone or are you using it with steam?
I've found varying difference between the 2 and the stand alone does appear to offer a higher score.
Uninstall MSI AB 1st then reboot. Rhen uninstall your drivers, reboot. Then install new drivers. Reboot, then reinstall msi afterburner.

well, it's works very well and i not have any problems with games, but lastest version from GPUZ 2.2.0, don't work at well, have a little bug, i didin't looks see somethings, i upload a image what specs on gpu not looks on GPUZ
PIXEL-FILLRATE/TEXTURE-FILLRATE/BANDWITCH/GPU-MEMORY CLOCK, but others looks normally, and yes i test that new drivers version, i have great performance and my fps it's improved like 5 to 14% on minimum and average FRAMERATE, i have less problems with games when i use V-SYNC. but now with ADAPTIVE SYNC games run very flawless than before, yes that adaptive sync work better than from RADEON PRO TOOL for me, homewere i hope amd fix some problems on dx12 and give on RX400/500 Conservative Rasterization and DX12.1 support, because i think that gpus, not only future VEGA GPUS based and PASCAL support dx12.1, i hope really that, homewere i hope amd continue that road for drivers/software, because they made now really great drivers/software support for us gpus, and yes how i can report that GPUZ problem? someone can tell me how i can?? thanks in advice 🙂 !!!

Hmm. They moved the Global Chill menu. Does it work for non-gaming GPU idleness?
Fluid Motion is still busted for 7730M. I have to use EVR-CP in zero-copy mode for anything resembling acceptable output. But even then, it's still buggy and visual artifacts show up. Using EVR-CP with copy-once or another renderer like madvr produces unwatchable output. At any rate, my workaround really sucks. I can't let my Intel GPU handle decoding or DXVA anymore as zero-copy requires everything on the AMD GPU.
This driver is a big deal for switchable graphics laptops (PowerXpress/Enduro). Definitely justifies the new 17.30 branch.
The old CCC cutout is gone. Everything is now fully integrated. Hopefully I can pair this Crimson with older drivers like before.

Piss poor was pre crimson drivers. Lets no be a deluded fool and act like AMD has not stepped it up over the last 1 1/2 years.
Every driver will have some form of issues for certian hardware, especially older hardware.
Keep it real dude, you have a gpu creeping up on 5 years old.

btw. AMD translated "enhanced sync" to somthing sonds like "improved vsync". they should change it because it could be confusing for beginners.

A Fury card that sits at 300/500 is 5 years old too mate?
The drivers work flawlessly on RX 400/500 series of cards though, but that's just about it. Except for the issues with MSI Afterburner which is a 3rd party software and it's absurd if I hold AMD responsible for incompatibility, the vice versa is also applicable, therefore Unwinder is clearly not at fault for recent changes AMD has made.
The more days pass, the apparent it becomes that AMD's newer drivers are only meant for RX 400/500 series of cards and the rest are irrelevant. Last Christmas, they gave us Wattman on R9 200/300 and HD series of cards, and to this date they haven't been fixed. There's a George Michael reference in there somewhere.
Despite nvidia being disliked, they did deliver their promised DirectX 12 support for GTX 400/500 series. How about that.
Hey OnnA. Just so you know, I have a Fury that has a stock BIOS provided by Sapphire and I am experiencing the exact same behavior. You can rule out the BIOS mods for the cause of the issue.

edit ~ MSi Afterburner clocks are stuck at 0 0 and I am not able to adjust it. did try latest beta and normal version not sure how it works but it wont take the Hook :3eyes:

Nvidia's Fast Sync which AMD copy-pasted into Enhanced Sync, despite being supported "only" on Pascal and Maxwell, works even for Kepler, dunno about Fermi.
Anyway... good performance, lousy treatment of non-RX 400/500 customers.
I cant remember the last time I got suckered this good... tweets about letting out cats... DVC, Enchanced Sync turned into ONE BIG NOTHING LOL.
AfterBurner broken, Wattman Global profile still goes from Automatic mode into Manual mode all by itself WTF

Those stuck with 300Mhz Fury, try to set default V. That worked for me on AB, i guess its the same for Strixx. I had my Fury undervolted and could not make it run fine until i set default V.
This driver does not like ppl messing with V.

I didn't touch the voltages. I have a custom fan curve that's associated with MSI AB. The PC which the card is in is used for rendering where stability is the first concern and performance comes second while maintaining it. So there's no room for overclocking or fiddling, specially when the card is the property of my employers.
In other news, no bootscreen on R9 290X/R9 290. Works (at least it boots) fine on the machine with R9 390 next to it. Reverting to the older driver solves it.
Hasn't nvidia always been the first to implement things like ShadowPlay and GSync, only for AMD to come up with a Open alternative down the road?
The Cats were indeed let out of the bag. They are called AMDKnights™. They exist in every tech forum there is to defend the mystical presence (or the lack thereof) of hardware scalers in older generation of cards which are responsible for exclusive features like being able to adjust brightness, contrast and saturation, and 4K downsampling.
Not to mention very basic features like adjusting operating frequencies according to workload.
