If these numbers are legit/accurate, then my next card is most definitely going to be the 390x... This would be icing on the cake because I want my next upgrade to support the DisplayPort 1.2a specification with Adaptive-Sync (Freesync)... And I highly doubt Nvidia will do this...

Titan X and FIJI have same performance, fiji will be cheaper probably but titanx gonna launch next week. Some driver improvement and very small oc will make sure titanx will lead, but we need to see how it fares with games and with the witcher 3... If it goes like the charts, the better price will win.

From past experience, anything with TITAN in its name won't be cheap.

Titanish price, since it gonna launch next week nothing amd can do to stop it, till they launch 390X. I think nvidia will release something like titan with better performance, maybe lower memory count just to take the crown. Or it might be the same titan, but oced.

I can just wait for something on smaller node tbh. 😀 Tho Titan X and 390x seem to be beasts if these are correct. Both will get driver improvements so the setting would stay around the same but hmmh still only rumors really.

And why can't the 390 be overclocked?

The article shows Titan X to be the full GM200 core. It also shows a cutdown GM200. This implies that Titan X will be the fastest Maxwell, there will be no 780ti situation.

Fiji is faster and cheaper - OK.

No one saying it can't, i just said the Fiji is barely 3fps faster which means they are the same, little oc to titanx will put it ahead, vice versa. All i see is that TitanX will launch first, and if leaks are correct and fiji coming with same performance at June, it's not gonna be impressive at all, cause it won't bring anything new in terms of performance, while the price probably undercut the titan.

Just wish they'd get some specs, release dates and prices out sharpish. My 580's are ancient :3eyes:

+1. I'm in the same boat...

Can you be so kind and download "release driver" (that old driver which got out with your GTX 780). And benchmark that against your current ones? You know that lovely posts like 64% boost (one sees them quite often with nVidia). Confirm that for yourself, because sites which did this comparison are quite sceptical. lol, if you got 64% performance boost from a driver, someone at NVIDIA driver coding HQ was extremely lazy with the previous releases

why they got more fps in higher resolution with all other settings and hardware unchanged?

lol, 390X is almost fast as 970 SLI. Let's just hope it will be half the price of Titan X and we have a winner.

I'm not going to argue about unconfirmed numbers but what you're saying makes no sense at all.

I sense a green tint to all of your posts. How about this? We know the the 390X is coming out in 2/3 months and is faster than the Titan for less money. That makes the Titan not impressive at all.

Pretty much this provided the AMD offering is reasonable in price it'll make a nice upgrade with a custom waterblock on it. Likewise if the 980ti is priced well it too, will make a good upgrade. The Titan has always been a joke range in my opinion along with the Asus MARS cards where common sense and price/performance need not apply.

Thought there wasn't gonna be a 980Ti due to the 980 being a full GM204?
