Well, If AMD wants more consumer product sales, it should adjust its prices accordingly! My last procesor baught was a Ryzen 2700x which wasn't the best in its time but was very competitive price performance wise. The same thing can't be said nowadays about their new products, unfortunately.

AMD needs to lower Zen4 prices to match the reality of what the competition is offering. That's the only way to improve sales.

Well, it seems AMD has only one logical option, raise their prices even higher in order to recoup from their losses... 😕

I think once the 3d versions launch we will see some movement until then they have no need, overall income is still strong and the market is weak due to frenzid upgrading over the pandemic, why lower prices when frankly the sales are not there? The 3d versions will kick off the demand in my opinion as they will surpass Intels 13th Gen in games, I also happen to think the large heatsink on the chips is in some way related to the 3d chips, long term game plan from AMD as I see it is to have the top games CPU and a CPU thats head to head with Intels best non games specific chip the 2 trade blows at the top apart from games where Intel for now is quicker.

I am wondering where the crypto listing is? Where is the energy division?

My take is quite different. Whilst I agree that the 3D stacked CPU's will be the best for gamers, I myself want an upgrade from my Broadwell Hedt system. The prices are simply just to high and i'd expect (probably guarantee) that the 3D stacked CPU's will be even more expensive. The same goes for GPU's, the only Nvidia card worth buying is the 4090, but it's $4,000 in my country. I simply won't pay that and I won't pay $1,400 for an Asus Hero board to run one of these 7 series CPU's. And then you need expensive DDR5 which is around $500 and a really good CPU cooler, another $300. The whole PC industry is in lala land when it comes to pricing. I don't expect AMD to be the savior of Graphics cards either, you watch tomorrow. They will be close to the 4090 in performance for maybe a couple hundred less in price. This will not gain them market share.

That's a huge difference... "client department lost $26 million because it sells CPUs and APUs for laptops, desktops, and workstations. In the same quarter of 2021, this segment made $490 million in profit." It's amazing how much changes when the world starts to hit a recession and the crypto boom is "currently" over. Cant wait to see how much Nvidia has lost.

RX6600 is at 372€ for months at a shop near me. Want more profit? Lower it to 249€ and I know the stock will fly (I'll buy one).
