I would really like to know how much money are AMD getting from selling a video card bundled with all these games. They must be really desperate. They are getting close to nothing for Xbox&PS4 chips, their CPUs get small margins and they sure are investing a lot to beat Nvidia. Hope they know what they are doing. Not that I would be a fan, but losing the only proper competitor to Intel & Nvidia would hurt us consumers a lot..

AMD giving us awesome deals as usual, yet people still make snippy comments. As usual.

Nvidia rerelease the 670 and 680 as 760 and 770 with lower prices to compete with the AMD cards at their price points. That surely is not desperation right?
People who have nothing important to say, refrain from saying anything.

The 760 and the 670 are not the same the 760 has two SMX clusters disabled the 670 only has one and the 760 is reference clocked higher the 760 is basically a 660 with a 256 bit memory bus and a higher clock.

It's barely any slower. But it's quite faster than the 660Ti.

^The only thing is there really is no R&D involved this time for AMD. GCN and Jaguar are already developed for the mobile and desktop market they just modified it slightly not a lot of overhead.

While I'm a little skeptical of how little AMD would be making off these chips, it really isn't too surprising when you really think about it. The Cell processor in PS3 was an undoubtedly expensive chip, and when using it to it's full potential was better than a lot of x86 chips when it was first released. Nvidia, as well all know, isn't the cheapest company around, and also has a tendency to take business matters into their own hands. AMD is using a friggin Jaguar APU. Sure it might have 8 cores, but it's one of their cheaper APUs, for mobile purposes. AMD is also very willing to do anything for companies as long as they profit. When you consider the fact that Intel makes more money in pure profits than AMD makes net total, it isn't surprising that even something as crappy as a $10 profit would be considered considerable enough to them.
And lets not forget, AMD PC hardware will likely benefit from the micro-optimizations made for these consoles. Their non-APU products will likely see the least amount of benefits, but I'm sure AMD will make more sales in at least their APU department.
Another thing to consider is Valve may be considering using AMD for their console, though just rumors at this point. While AMD would probably be making considerably more money here, they would also have to pay more linux developers.

I love how everyone forgets that the Wii-U is still around (also with an AMD GPU). Though it is already dead on arrival, for the last six months the the original Wii has been outselling the Wii-U 6:5 and the Wii-U has only sold a mere 3.61 million units since launch (including the Christmas ******).
What's even more pathetic is how Nintendo intends on fixing this... by releasing The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker HD, Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze and Super Mario 3D World, as well as Wii Party U and Wii Fit U in the coming months.
They are completely out of touch.

Nintendo needs to jump out of the console maker and just start doing software and handhelds.
