the proof is in the pudding... ๐Ÿ˜‰ http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QIWyf8Hyjbg Skip to 26:12 to get to the demo. That's 20,000 entities on screen, each gun turret with its own A.I, and if you look in the top corner you can see the frame times are STILL in the single digits! THAT IS IMPRESSIVE! The speaker in that video also says he downclocked his AMD 8350 by 2GHz and still didn't run into any major problems.

I'm not surprised. Just think if Nvidia and AMD collaborated on this and gave M$' DirectX a big :finger: how good that would have been for PC gaming, but that will never happen.

It will succeed.

Hmm, was really expecting it in December but oh well.. I'll guess we'll see the outcome eventually. In hope they don't rush it.

Knowing DICE they will manage to screw this one too, just like they did with BF4. AMD should choose a developer that knows how to make a game/optimize ... not DICE.

Same card, same settings, even a solid 10 percent increase I'd be tottaly happy. I'm not looking for 20-30% as some keep writing.

I'd rather like to see an API they worked on together, hell even with Intel. Just to get rid of DirectX once and for all and get an API they can all use properly. At the end of the day, they might be competitors, but an API is something that would be best supported on all their platforms... properly.

What a shocker.

This is really just for low budget cards and agpu's right? The big selling point will be amd showing a cpu with integrated graphics running bf4 or what?

Did you watch the demo?

I couldn't care about BF4, but the video was really interesting from a developer's standpoint. I've been saying for years that task based threading was the way to go, even when dual core CPUs had just come out. That demo is downright impressive, the fact that they become completely GPU limited with more to go on an underclocked CPU is nuts.

In MANTLE we believe! ๐Ÿ˜€ As always with presentations, leaked info, etc(like pre-release GPU's info) I will wait until it hits the streets and Hilbert test it out on BF4 or whatever else it will support at the time.

Honestly we shouldn't be worried at all. ...Reason being is that BF4 was rushed out the door to beat CoD, plus they made versions for PS3/4 Xbox360/One, and PC. The DICE team had too much on their plate to properly implement AMD's Mantle. Thus, this delay isn't AMD's fault, it's DICE's,

No, it's EA Fault. EA told DICE to rush the game out. Not only on PC but all platforms.
