bring on the Cavalry! Very tempting for 2nd PC.

I hope they allow for Hybrid Crossfire with a 7850K and a 7850 to have a 7850X2 πŸ˜€

Oh, I actually got spare 7850, that would be sweet!

AMD pitted a machine running the APU against a combo Intel Core i7 4470K CPU and Nvidia GeForce GT630 GPU in a 1080 x 1920 Battlefield 4 demo.
Typo πŸ˜€ How are AMD's cpus now a days? Matching an Ivy?

In single core performance and latency NO, intel is here faster I hope the new High-end amd cpu's wont be disappointing or my next cpu will be an intel.

If you can remove some pieces from equation, especially bottlenecks, like OS processing all graphics, you can get more FPS from game any time. not sure this is the case πŸ˜€

These little things could be very interesting.

That would be a Haswell processor....not Ivy...

He meant Ivy not Haswell. You know, AMD today can't even match Sandy/Ivy so Hawell is something unreachable to them.

While i agree it's not like haswell is some huge step up in performance from Ivy πŸ™„ If at the very least they could catch Sandy Bridge with Streamroller in IPC and single-threaded performance clock for clock. It would be a great achievement for them.

look's promising

My little girl is wanting a PC, now she is only 6 but this just might be the thing for her 7th birthday in June.

Looks like Kaveri is still DDR3 while Hierofalcon coming out later in 2014 will probably support DDR4 ram. http://techreport.com/news/25338/new-amd-embedded-roadmap-shows-64-bit-arm-cortex-a57-chip Granted Hierofalcon I don't believe is for desktop use, but it shows they are starting to move torwards DDR4. "These SoCs aren’t going to be heading to smartphones or tablets, however. AMD’s first ARM chips are designed for use in high-density servers and demanding embedded setups." http://www.geek.com/chips/amd-will-start-selling-arm-chips-next-year-1570409/

L3 cache and a better memory controller would probably help a lot. I do hope these are better.

For the high performance computing part, I assume we won't be forced to use cl-gl(or dx)-interoperability to reach real-time physics modeling performance because gpu+cpu use same memory so no copies needed.

Im assuming these are going to be on a new socket anyone know for sure?

According to the interwebz, it'll use FM2+ and wont be backwards compatible with FM2.

Dumber 512 Stream Processors and I so looking forward to 832 Stream Processors GPU and some day we see 256Bit memory on board Why are you all so worry about CPU when should be looking that fact the AMD has far better performance in Graphics with Games then Intel Graphics so what big deal you get a few sec faster CPU time.
https://forums.guru3d.com/data/avatars/m/248/248627.jpg
yea graphics is more important since igpu is the most limiting factor in most cases, Intel should only include the igpu in the i3 anything higher and your better to put discrete anyways, who's going to game with an i7 and ipu lol.

These can very easily compete with Ivy and Haswell. Everyone seems to forget that Intel released Celeron and Pentium processors based on Sandy, Ivy and Haswell. Hell, my laptop has a Haswell based Celeron in it. AMD's APUs are targeted at the entry-level and budget markets, where the Celeron, Pentium and Core i3 reside. Not the mainstream and high-end where the Core i5 and i7 are. AMD has the FX series for mainstream and currently nothing for the high-end market.
