Oh my! AMD is gunning with everything they have and rest assured they're moving Intel in a big way.

I guess they are clearing stocks ahead of any Zen refresh, some pretty good deals there.

I already grabbed my 1600 at that price on black Friday so I'm happy. But this is the time to jump on a new platform if u haven't and don't mind paying as much for ram as u do a cup.

The German Amazon obviously just didn't reduce their price (500USD ~ 405EUR) and neither did the Australian (635AUD ~ 390 EUR). Either way, they are just clearing stock for the Zen+, so I'd wait for that. Although since the chipset is compatible and so you don't have to change anything else, it might be a nice buy anyway.

Zen+ can be a potential upgrade for me, however if it won't be able to reach 4.5ghz OC, won't see a point to move from my i7-4770k @4.5. However those 8 cores are bloody attractive for the long run! 🙂

Meanwhile in Europe..... https://i.imgur.com/hXXe6hF.png ( amazon.de )
At least you are lucky as germany is one of the favorite land of AMD: you have it "in stock" 2 friend bought AMD Ryzen board with processor in october, only one Ryzen were in stock, we are in january, still no stock... he have useless motherboard as he have sold his old rig to made the new one 🙁 I am very tempted with a Ryzen HTPC/small game machine to replace my old G3258... but i really hate AMD's commercial strategy, and it frightened me a bit.

Ryzen at 4.5 ghz cannot be compared to I7 4770k at 4.5 ghz exept on paper because they are not from same generation, family and technology (best exemple Core2 duo at 2.0 ghz compared to Pentium D at 3.0 ghz). Right now in most of the case, Ryzen below 4.5 ghz outperform 4770k at 4.5 ghz if you have the right RAM (DDR4 3200 OC min)

Is this a drop in price for consumers or a drop for retailers buying in bulk and selling them off? In any case, might be some time I think before consumers see the price drop.

And you can get a Ryzen 1600 for 207 EUR. 🙂
mmm...no thx...the least worth getting is 1600x not less. Is still very affordable, more or less 20 euro difference from 1600 on amazon.

At this point I would wait for Zen+ to come out and see what it can do. Ability to go just 300 Mhz higher (4.3-4.4) would wipe the floor with Intel at similar price point.

Of course! But still 4770k @4.5 outperforms current Ryzen 7 at 4.0 in single thread performance. However yes, Ryzen's PPC is amazing.

£314 on Amazon UK,
Hey but UK isn't Europe! 😀 Jokes aside, Amazon UK doesn't deliver to the Hole I live in (Latvia). Only store that delivers in my case is Scan, and it has Amazing price.

Haha,good one.R5 1600+ mock the floor with that Haswell i7 4770k @ 5GHz. (long time ago GHz matter,now we need more cores and thread optimizations) 😉 R7 1700 8c/16t is a good choice,anytime-anywhere. (mindfactory.de) R7 1800x-345 eur,r5 1600-185 eur.

Yes SCAN are pretty decent and ive been buying off them for many years but more recently for more and more PC stuff Amazon are so much cheaper and they almost always have stock, i bought my 1080Ti on release day for under £700.
