Sigh... This will fuel "AMD is dieded" talks.

Say goodbye to dreams about good drivers.

Its clear no one wants cheaper PC's.

Debridement.

they do but intel also took a big piece of that market, "good" iGPUs with good energy efficiency... plus many of those is jumping to tablets

Not sure if your trying to troll, but AMD has been putting out good drivers for about 2 or more years now.

Was about to say the same thing. I really hope the continue going strong if strong is a good word to use here. Do not want to see Intel and Nvidia get the monopoly of their respective markets as we will never see true progress at a competitive cost. That being said Intel pricing is actually quite good (excluding their extreme chips), but my reference was towards Nvidia.

.. why haven't they 'officially' price cut 290s when they clearly said they want competition? Sorry but the 970 is eating the 290 and 290x alive.

@nanogenesis, not sure if you're from antarctica or what, but in my country all avaliable 970s cost nearly 400€ while a 290X can be had for around 350€, and 290s go for 280-290€. 970 also kinda sucks at 4K, especially if you SLI. Think I'm gonna go 290 CF with these prices.

The XBone and PS4 will be helping them, as will the partnerships with ASUS, etc. I see no reason to upgrade my main rig yet, until the teething issues with X99 are sorted out. My GFX will always be AMD, for the price:perf ratio, just waiting on the 390X. Gunna get an AM1 rig for messing around with. It's the little bits of support that help.

It is a very good dream but i hope AMD stay alive at that point. It is a fact AMD will never beat Nvidia on performance, power efficiency and reliability but what AMD has only left is with price point.

20 nm should help things a little.

Nvidia is in range. They can match and/or surpass them, all it takes is one good new gpu. AMD's problem is Intel. They are light years away

It requires talent,Money, man power and research in which AMD is lacking and will lack further more.People need to come on reality that AMD is dying very slowly but painfully.

Pop over the Radeon driver forums. There are outstanding bugs in their drivers that have gone unfixed since Mantle was introduced. A few examples: - No video after waking from sleep - Secondary card goes into ULPS mode while in CF - VRAM memory leak when using Mantle that makes it useless for 2GB cards These bugs exist in some form in all the 14.x drivers and are not isolated to just a few people, they are widespread.

AMD own forums are dead no mod at all. That is why u see that all complains and issues are seen on twiter,Guru3d and other forums.

*Sigh* Thankfully, AMD is not going anywhere but, it does not feel good to be down. However, the new CEO, bringing back the talent that once may their cpu's top dog and what seems like a renewed focus should bring things around. Think long term, not just today I say. Although, I have to admit, I am looking forward to their new cpu's whenever they are out. I see no reason to "upgrade" to Intel when I will not benefit from it compared to how much I would have to spend. (Both my computers are working solid, fast and run virtual machines.) Cheap, mid to low end Intel will not be doing that because they disable the Virtualized hardware extensions and keep them only for their more expensive machines. The real trick will be what happens in the stock market. After all, it is fueled there by feelings as much as fact.
