Makes sense for it to be on AM4. Zen4 will be DDR5 and it finally gonna be a new socket.

I would take a 4850X if they make a thin binned 8-core like a 9900KS type product. Moving to an 8-core CCX(if the rumors are true) something like that should be a beast. Would be ideal for my use.

I look at these news with interest, but waiting for the first AM5 CPU so the latest working gen on AM4 gets affordable to me. Loving my 2600 so far, probably will get a 4700 or something down the road.
