@k3vst3r You can't return it? In our country we have a option to return item in two weeks since purchase as long it's not damaged.

Just bought a 3800x and couldn't care less about GamePass, but have been eagerly awaiting HZD. Bummer.

I'm with you on that. I just purchased a 3700x and an Asus ROG Strix Gaming X570-E board.

it was the same for me, back when i bought my Vega64. some days later AMD released a game pass. I then asked the seller (Mindfactory) if there's something they can do and they sent me a code and i got the games. Maybe you ca ask the seller.

I've been heavily considering upgrading to a 3700X, but, I wanted to wait and see what happens with Zen3, and I'm not sure this game will still be bundled by then.

Are you happy with the 3800X? I am stuck between 3800 and 3900, not sure which one to choose. Thanks

Yep, last time I got Outer Worlds which I activated, but never even installed as it is not my style of game and nobody wanted it. And I gave away Borderlands 3. I would actually play this one. And btw. XBox coupon can be activated once per year according to AMD. But microsoft's page tells that it can be activated once per account. So, getting two different ones is worth nothing!

What's so hard to decide? The decision is pretty black and white: If you know you need the extra cores, get the 3900X. Unless your CPU makes you money, chances are, you don't need the extra cores for a smooth experience. If you've got money to burn, get the 3900X. If you don't upgrade often and want something pretty future-proof, get the 3900X. If the higher boost clock from the 3900X is what appeals to you most about that model, you might want to opt for Intel. If the answer all of the above are "no", get the 3800X.

The 3800X is also ever-so-slightly faster than the 3900X in 1080p high framerate gaming because of the fabric link and separate caches. It's not big enough to sway things for most people, and you can use Ryzen Master to turn off the second chiplet if you really want to, but if you are building a gaming rig it's something to keep in mind.

Horizon Zero Dawn on pc. I never thought I'd see the day with that happening with this series.

I have yet to buy one piece of hardware that ever comes with a game bundle. Early adopter syndrome, I guess. But I feel you bro!

The machine I bought it for is purely a gaming PC. I would have been fine with any modern chip, but I wanted an 8c/16t with some hope of getting 4 years of gaming out of it. I was eyeing the 10700k, but the performance wasn't enough over the 3800x to justify any added cost. The 3900x didn't seem like it provided much value for gaming over the 3800x. By the time I need a 12c/24t chip, I'll probably need something with much higher clock speed and IPC, so I didn't see the need. I caught the 3800x on sale for $320, so I went with that. I bought the ASUS TUF Wifi board and a Noctua NH-U14A, which are both highly rated products. Just playing games on it, I'm barely tapping the CPU at all. I haven't seen usage over 30% in regular operation and it's topping out around 65°.
