Apple sees all the tech happening at TSMC with offices near the (7n and below) fab clusters. they also know AMD, Intel, and Nvidia very well and not just because they're all in Silicon Valley. they have an extremally high end igpu and consulted with AMD for Vulkan and DX12 implementation and fabrication quirks. it would have been an extremely short pitch and this is quite a coup. more for the wider PR aspects than dollars, but you can guarantee one thing - AMD is "gettin' paid" and the wider market is paying attention. this will definitely give them far more margin than retail gpus. let's hope that that will act as a cushion for our end 😎 of the market
