10 games/devs? Lol welcome to the future amd users we will see you in 2 or 3 years! I'm really appreciating the timing though they literally are only acknowledged it exists and have 0 to show for it... But hey gotta try and keep that Nvidia thunder down SOMEHOW!

Any kind of hint at what gpu's will be able to support this?

Kind of funny in the forth pic it says on Nvidia 1060, bit confusing.

From RX 580, Vega Series, 5000 Series and 6000 Series.

@Errant1 it probably was running on Geforce given it's an open source implementation. @rdmetz 10 game studios and game engines, not 10 games. Gotta start somewhere anyway. Granted I was hoping this would work without needing support from game but I guess for best results this is how it should be done and it's no different from NV DLSS in this regard. I'm hoping to see some current RT games get support added later too.

Open source but patented This is the way

Looks better than DLSS 1.0
Not really, it looks more like upscaled TXAA and based on the information available I'm not sure it'll look anywhere near as good as dlss2. Hopefully they're withholding more information at the moment.

It looks horrible https://cdn.videocardz.com/1/2021/06/AMD-FSR-4.jpg
welp, that pillar says it all whoever greenlighted this comparison picture wont get a bonus this year thats for sure EDIT: woah talk about jumping the gun, here's the deal [youtube=eHPmkJzwOFc] this looks mighty impressive, nvidia might be facing another gsync vs freesync situation here unless DLSS starts turning 360p into 1440p by years end

It looks like motion blur somehow

I wouldn't judge IQ yet too much based on just a compressed image of a scene that seems to be heavily blurred readily.

Exactly my point - the scene seems to be warped and blurry, to begin with. Also to judge a whole tech based on a screenshot is biased. Also, the video in the demonstration seems to look just fine. But then again, Godfall is a blurry mess of a game.

I'd say hard to judge anything from presentation. Good they are pushing it. Best competition in GPU market in years , sadly it doesnt show in prices where it is completely opposite...

Yes it does look like comparing an Xbox One vs Switch port, but, it's still free performance. I'm all for it.

Funny how some are so forgiving of DLSS 1.0, even defend it, yet are so ever ready to blast AMD's first attempt at this. My Vega 64 rig is pretty happy at this news as well.;) Remember, it works on GTX 1000 series GPU as well, and I have a GTX 1080 in my HTPC rig. I kinda figured GTX 900 series and earlier aren't supported perhaps due to architectural difference (from GTX 1000 series), but extending support to GTX 1000 series card owners is a nice gesture (something the guy who's always cladded in leather jackets would never do I might add). I hope FSR, when it matures, get pick up by game devs, XBOX One X and PS5 users might benefit (though not sure how it's gonna be done on PS5), everyone (including GTX 1000 card users) stand to benefit from this, and that's a good thing regardless of naysayers.

Hmmh well might make some games playable. But still I disliked DLSS even 2.0 when it comes to balanced or lower quality. So eh. DLSS was good on the best quality but the framerate boost was negligible at that point.

Cat out of the bag, mod remove the post on reddit. AMD FidelityFX Super Resolution = Checkerboard Rendering v2.0 + Radeon Image Sharping (CAS). Short version: AMD FidelityFX Super Resolution use a update version of Checkerboard Rendering plus AMD customized version of TAA and FidelityFX Contrast Adaptive Sharpening. pretty much why all GPU from RX 580 series to 6000 series are supported.
