This is a very good sign. AMD now has $29.5m available to actually settle this stuff like a functioning company.

i agree with SSD_PRO...ryzen has AMD flush for the first time in recent memory.
bad investors though.
short term investing is a pox and a plague for technology companies which rely on (at least) eighteen months finalizing chip design with fabricators (or themselves in the case of Intel).
not to mention hassles with differing processes for different nanometer scaling.

Yeah Amd has been doing really well as of Ryzen launch so I hope stuff like these legal issues does not affect them, We finally got some good cpu compatition between Intel and Amd so lets leave it this way please.

What do we all expect though, its as if we think that shareholders are in for the good of the company rather than for money (profit).

share holders are of AMD are now sueing AMD? im not sure if i should laugh or cry on behalf of AMD they dont have enough worries? now they have to worry about be sued by people that have stock in them? I Think there should be clause if you sue and have stock in AMD you forfeit your share back to AMD if you take the cash.

maybe we should all sue the company's we have stock in every time there shares and profits go in reverse, putting money in stock is is like gambling there is no guarantee, what if people sued casino cause they lost at "gambling"

I am not very sympathetic towards individuals who rely on sales pitches to make their investing decisions; especially when technology is involved. like the old saying goes, a fool and his money... While they are at it, they should file a suit on behalf of the whole Bulldozer failure. Sometimes individuals need to be taken before they wise up and learn to ferret out when they are being presented with snake oil. Take your lumps and learn from it.

I don't understand. I read this article, fully, and i just can't figure out where AMD did wrong, that means they should be paying money?

I was notified a few month back that I was automatically included in a class action lawsuit regarding this because I invested during this time period. Will be interesting to know what I get back.

Some of the stories I read about intel procedures were downright Dirty man, those guys know how to play the game I will give em that much.
Paying companys to use there cpus
Inflating benchmark scores
Milking the consumer with 4/8 thread cpus since sandy bridge.
I do like them I wont lie but it seems like we need both camps to be in the game in order to ignite that fire we currently have, Iam loving it. Amd would do the same thing iam sure if the situatuon was reversed, Just pay that lawsuit off and continue doing what you curtently are Amd.
