Looks like they're clearing old stock before the AM4 boards & chips start rolling out in a couple of months

AM4 APUs are planed for early 2017. Zen Comes Q3 2016. And I am not sure if it will be on desktops or server platform 1st.

God-dammit and we just got our 7870k and they come out with this lol, You can never win I tell you. Is there any diffrence on the graphics clock or just the cpu will turbo to 4.3 Ghz? Thats still impressive clock I must say on a stock cooler. I still havent attempted to overclock ours, but once I get a decent cooler we have a good board to back it up also Gigabyte A88x Up 4-I heard its one of the best Fm2+ boards you can get.

Anyone know if these kaveri apus have the throttling issues that the richland and trinity apus had. I want to get the one with the gpu disabled on it since I have the mobo already with my old gtx 670.

Bristol Ridge APU's on AM4 are due H1 2016?

Do not worry, all those chips are still limited to 95W. And unless you can disable this internal limit, there is not much OC. As you attempt OC, check thoroughly performance of CPU/iGPU (if you use both) at every OC step. Compare, because it may reach higher clocks and be stable there. But at same time, chip will exceed power limit and deliver lower performance than it does at lower clocks. Those APUs are still pretty impressive for such low TDP.

That's True. It is last 28nm architecture. I would not expect much improvement from it (just being AM4 compatible). I personally will wait for Zen to show its teeth. And will not get dual DDR3+DDR4 compatible board as that may limit OC due to unnecessary components. Would be nice to See Bristol Ridge with DDR4 support and DDR4 only boards ready for it. But that's probably against marketing strategy as that would cost more than necessary.

...every time I see APU I translate it to Auxiliary Power Unit from jet planes...
