From a price-point standpoint and overall performance standpoint compared to other released graphics cards, the RX 570 was never worthy of the 70 name, more like the 50 range.

Be that as it may, the RX5700 series should still be replacing the RX570 in AMD's product stack.

You could say that i guess, but realistically it's filling the Vega 56 in AMD's product stack. From my view point the RX 5000 series are hopefully taking the RX series out of the "designated cheap/low performance" zone and bringing it back to its former glory without the need of randomly named Fury's and Nanos and Vegas and etc. trying to separate themselves from the RX lineup. The last time the numbered RX series had a $350 level graphics card was 2015

Well, if the rumors of an RX5800 series are true, barring an RX5900 series.... I'd expect the RX5700 series to replace the RX570 and 580, and the RX5800 series to replace Vega 56 and Vega 64. I could be wrong though and the FX5700 series are replacing the RX580 and 590, RX5800 series are replacing Vega (56 and 64). That would leave an RX5600 series to replace the RX560 and 570. Guess we'll find out in due time. Quite honestly, I never found the RX500 series to be worthwhile. The performance gain over the RX400 series just wasn't compelling or sufficient. Even for the old games I play....lol

How heavily overclocked was the Vega56 and in what games? According to Hilbert's review of the reference RX5700 and RX5700XT, the Vega56 is upwards of 25% slower than the RX5700.

shit, i misremembered. it was the Radeon VII i was thinking that the 56 beat in some cases.

we need more cards in the 200-300$ mark current cards just aren't worth the price to performance they're offering over last gen cards. currently the only option is the 2060 non super and its around 350$ or 270$ for the 1660ti and neither are very appealing cards for the money
