they paid a lot of streamers to show the game but most didn't play more than their due time, not a good look

A lot of streamers also did the opposite, I think I have watched around 40 hours New World on 10 different streamers. The team I followed had a full list of functions and proficiencies ready for the primary team and 2 half full support teams ready before launch. Multiple of the streamers clocked in 12 hour streams and some did 24 hours straight. People showed up with full teams to pvp wars and a reserve list was ready if someone dropped out. All in all I feel like the beta was a huge success and smoother then a lot of other game launches. The GPU killing still has a lot of mystery going on about it, so I do not want to comment on that yet.

I think the last thing I want is to give a company like Amazon permanent connection to my computer.

I've already given them access through my damn echo dots and light switches.... What more do they need from me?!? HAHAHAH.... And never knew that being a beta tester would entail I'm potentially killing my hardware by doing so. I agree with you though.

I find Amazon Prime very convenient and I have no problem racking up more charges for their free overnight & 2nd-day Prime shipping each year...;) They always send me a sad note congratulating me on getting more free shipping than the $120 annual Prime fee covers...well, a small victory, perhaps, but it makes me smile. Anyway, I like the business just fine and have no quarrel with it. But somehow "Amazon Gaming" doesn't have the right "ring" to it, if you know what I mean. Not impressed. However, they did give away Battlefield 1 & 5 recently, so I have them (through Origin) even if I'm not that big a fan.

Going to be interesting to see if a new MMORPG (is it a rpg as well?) has the stayingpower that some of the older titles still seem to have. I recently started playing ESO after a long break and was honestly surprised at the amount of people I ran in to just about every time of the day.

Its killing Nvidia cards, so i guess they need time for implementation of AMD logo gaming evolved start screen:)

Oh well, I was semi tempted to give this a go for a few weeks before D2R comes out but that's that, not going to happen.

Software shouldn't be able to kill a GPU. That's a fault with the GPU, nothing more.

Pretty sure that's faded away by now.

Only some AIB cards with issues in their added design.

To me this game is nothing more but a baseline testing of the market for an upcoming new LOTR MMORPG that they will surely launch at some point if their show will be a success. So yeah, I doubt that New World will have a long life, on the contrary.
