Awesome, I gonna patent my "lazy-standing-from-a-chair-180-while-scratching-ass" move.

How pathetic has the world come with broken Patent and Copyright laws. I'm in the middle of copyrighting the foot tap while sitting in a chair... No one else use it or else! It's as bad as Disney Trademarking a saying in a Language.... The entire system is BROKEN.

I'm off to patenting musical notes.

Good luck to him I guess? But I''m gonna take a wild guess and say it isn't gonna go very far for him.. From what I could find on the idea of copyrighting movement; "The U.S. Copyright Act of 1976 covers the art of dance. It limits protection to original choreographed works, defined as a series of organized dance movements and patterns. Last year, the U.S. Copyright Office issued fresh guidance, saying it “cannot register short dance routines consisting of only a few movements or steps with minor linear or spatial variations, even if a routine is novel or distinctive.”

I just find it sad that some of these celebs take the time to sue over these kind of things.. Same with the silly Lindsay Lohan GTA5 thing, I mean, come... onnnnn... Guess when there is some $$ to be had, all of a sudden anyone sues anyone over anything.. Sad sad world.

As if that dance hasn't been used in various MMOs for decades...

Even if he wins the case, my take is that since he did this dance on The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air he's not the owner of the copyright as he "invented" this dance for the show and under contract. I think the producers of The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air would actually have the claim to any copyright for this dance.

He's such a cry baby about that dance, seen him a few times going in the huff because of it over the years, think he was on that celebrity get me out of here and someone brought it up and he went in a stinker mood because of it too Maybe he should have embraced it like Will Smith and done well in his career instead of crying about something from 20+ years ago

What the HAAAAAAAAAAAY?!?!?! This world is pretty much done for......!!!! So damn sad people are even capable of doing this kind of stuff. First with that "OTHER GUY" and his flapping his arms about in a video making a big deal. To only win the lawsuit....now someone who's an actual "celebrity" catches wind and jump on the bandwagon. So damn sad.

I'm pretty sure most the player base of fortnite has never watched a single episode of Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, to say Epic Games is using a dance move from the show to publicize their game is more likely the other way around.
