Hardware is kind of old. But 5Ah battery in regular thin cellphone? Did I miss announcement of availability for some new battery technology? Strange thing here is that they state only 3 days without charging... Nearly any cellphone with 2Ah can do that.

I am happy if I can get towards a 48hour charging rhythum, and I am neither running too many apps nor using the phone as much as EVERYBODY I know does with their smartphone. Nexus 5 though. If only the phone's specs were a bit better I might be tempted.

I think you must either not use your device or have some magic going on there, lol.

SGS6e (WiFi,BT + scanning, NFC, GSM data... all ON): right now: 1d 23h 57m 22s on battery - remaining battery 58% Battery used (internal stats): Cell standby 36% Screen 15% Device idle 14% Android OS 12% G. Play Svcs 7% Samsung Push Svc 3% FB 3% Android System 3% G. Play Svcs secure 2% FB Messenger 1% ... I am on Android 6.0.1 and use "Greenify" to forcefully put asleep those few apps which would prevent phone to be in lowest power state while still updating information for everything and apparently receiving calls.

Have you seen the physical sizes of batteries in flagship phones? My Samdung S5 has a 2800mAH battery that's barely a third of the surface area and the phone is pointlessly thin considering the camera sticks out. If a company really wants to cram more battery capacity in through physical size they very easily can. Also, lithium ion batteries have been gradually been improving one droplet at a time.
Nearly any cellphone with 2Ah can do that.
No, you have some sorcery going on. Mine lasts a day with light to moderate usage on Android 6.0.1 with every trick in the book to squeeze out more battery life. Aside from the moments I use them "4G" (HSPA+, companies lie) is off, WiFi/BT/NFC/kitchen sink are off, screen brightness automated with Lux Auto Brightness, settings set to preserve battery as much as possible without degradation, etc, etc. And yes I have all background processes regulated and have background data restricted, which wouldn't matter much either way when WiFi and HSPA are off.

Will have to try that Greenify thing then. Wouldn't mind getting into day 3 with the low use I usually have. Did you have to root your phone to make the power saving work properly?

+1 for Greenify. Been using it along with the Xposed Module and it works wonders...
