NO HDR - brightness of only 300 cd/2 It's a bad joke
NO good contrast ratio is only 1,200:1 ( According to their tests )
analog RGB (D-Sub 15 pin) - Are you laughing for 4K ? Even as a joke it's bad
It's not just a monitor that has nothing to do with rules or protocols!

You're really starting to ridicule yourself if you think you can get features like full array local dimming at such prices and screen sizes. I just checked up on your postings, two pages of nothing other than complaints and negativity. What's your .plan here on these forums?

Ok, so the HDR10 support is pretty good as is the 1200:1 contrast which is really good for an IPS display but ONLY 300cd/m brightness? Come on Acer, that's the same brightness as my non HDR X34a. Means this is just another 'fake' HDR monitor.

Relax guys, budget displays always win the big money, not the sub 1% enthusiast solutions. Yeah I'm still waiting for VA 120hz +, full array dimming, descent contrast, HDR600+, gsync, 4k and at least 32" for less than 1500E 😀

Sincerely, it is pretty amazing to get big size 4K monitors at those prices that fast.
Take a step back and be honest: 49" ? 4K ? HDR ? 550 US$ ?

Either it's not 4K or it's not 120Hz for you. Keep living in Wonderland where every single monitor any manufacturer makes is up to your exquisite gaming tastes.
Why would DisplayPort 1.4 even matter if the display cannot go beyond 4K 60Hz, where DisplayPort 1.2 is cheaper and more than enough?

I am using a 43in Philips 4k HDR TV for as my pc monitor now, bought it for the bedroom but don't watch Tv in bed, cost £370, it's a 8bit panel with dithering, and i love it, i will never go back to a monitor, why would i, when i can actually see what i am looking at now. lol
Although i don't think HDR works on the PC as it does on say the XBX, it does not look right when i activate it on W10, but still 4k is just glorious. 🙂

Maybe he's just tired of the same crap being rehashed in every single monitor thread.. like read the thread your posting in. The first post basically complains about the same thing you are, then the owner of the forum comes in and says stop being negative and complaining about lack of features in monitors that are designed to be cheap, DrunkenDonkey makes a sarcastic post making of fun of people that complain about stuff like that.. then you come in and are that person again.
Not every display has to be designed and geared towards the absolute best features for gamers. This is designed to be a cheap TV like display that appeals to the masses. You don't need to come in and shit all over it because it doesn't fit your requirements.

60 hz is fine for most, hence I brought mine ages ago, 4k smart TV and a 6yr warranty thrown in. I will never buy a dedicated monitor for a computer, have not done for years. And only the fixated gamer would go down that route 144hz equipped with 2 gtx 1080ti. Thats the reason most are still on 1080p because of fps. You talk about the minority. 60hz is still king, because of the expense to be top dog 🙁

Aparently for a lot of people companies should only release 4k monitors with 240 hz ++ at least 2000 dimming zones with and at the very least over 9000 cd/2 ! At the price of both your kidneys and your first born else it is not worthy of your eye sight! 550 for this size of a monitor is great sarcasm aside .... but guys seriusly chill about trashing cheap monitors /tvs...you get what you pay ! I tottaly get trashing on flaws of a 2500 euro monitor though.

Same here, I bought a fairly no name 'Luxor' brand 4K 50inch tv which is 60Hz for the astonishing low price on sale at £350...Simply stunning for the price and I could not go back...I certainly do not need 144Hz nor do I really want to pay astronomical prices for a 4K, 144Hz, HDR TV...unitil they are priced below £500...My current TV just works and looks great playing PUBG and Project Cars...
