Probably just a typo and $799 instead. Considering the price of X34 there is no way this FreeSync version is $1799.

Acer's own superior Z35P is 799 USD with Prime shipping on Amazon. This would have to be discounted to at least $600 to warrant consideration, $500 would be a no-brainer since it would beat out the Massdrop Vast with its IPS screen (for some).
