dont forget the video card that can run those res in games and have stable fps to become affordable. I still say entry/Mid range cards need to be able to handle those resolution keep stable FPS before these "ultra"HD stuff takes hold.

That's right. Even the top end single cards have trouble keeping 60 fps on soem of the newer games at 1080p.

I've been checking out every 2560x1440 monitor for a while now. Increasing my FOV to 16:9 without going down from my 1920x1200 16:10 is exactly what I want. No good at those prices though. These need to drop below 400, before the price is reasonable.
