So if they are still releasing new IB CPU's through the entire of 2013 then where will Haswell fit in? I have been waiting for that instead of upgrading my current rig to a z77 board and a 3770K due to the problems a lot of people are facing with the heat issues.... I might as well just upgrade to X79 then?
Actually here a question I haven't looked up much about Haswell yet, will it be an X79 based chip or will they release yet another new board chipset something like the X89 maybe? If its compatible with X79 I might just upgrade now to X79 and get myself a 3930K then maybe see how much better Haswell is if it supports the same chipset.
EDIT:
Maybe I should read the diagram better. LOL Haswell will be launched in Q3 of this year LOL but only in the performance and mainstream line up...?
Hmmm.... the 4770K is looking tempting now 🙂

Sounds interesting in a world where games and apps could utilize all those cores.
