Yum ! Pioneer has unveiled the DDJ-SX DJ controller for the newly released Serato DJ Software. The DJ controller provides a complete system that includes the controller, a new Serato DJ software, a four deck sampler function, dual deck control, slip mode, FX mode and more. Pioneer will release the DDJ-SX DJ controller later this month for $1,199. The first 10,000 buyers will receive a free license for the Serato Video plug-in.

Next week on Tuesday Microsoft is going to reelase seven software updates, of which one is rated Critical and the other six Important to address bugs related towards Remote Code Execution, Denial of Service attacks or Elevation of Privileges as the security bulletin states. This advance notification provides a number as the bulletin identifier, because the official Microsoft Security Bulletin numbers are not issued until release. The bulletin summary that replaces this advance notification will have the proper Microsoft Security Bulletin numbers (in the MSyy-xxx format) as the bulletin identifier.

We've seen more announcements on 4GB boards in the past week, ASUS now follows as well with their GeForce GTX670-DC2-4GD5. The cards is based upon their DirectCU II 2-slot design and now thus comes with 4 GB of GDDR5 memory. Over at the Asian website Chiphell some photo's and specs appeared of the upcoming GeForce GTX 650 Ti from Inno3D.Apparently a member of their community got early access to a card and immediately taking photo's of it. You'll notice that Inno3D's card has a custom cooler that features a detachable shroud allowing you to easily clean the heatsink and fan. Photo's after the break.

Totally too expensive, but it does have nice specs. Modbook Inc. has started taking pre-orders for the ModBook Pro. Priced at $3,499, the ModBook Pro features an Intel CoreTM i7 processor up to 2.9GHz, up to 16GB of RAM, a 480GB of solid state disk (SSD) and a stylus with 512 discrete pressure levels. The tablet draws its power from an Apple-standard 60W Magsafe adapter. The ModBook Pro will be launched in November 2012.

Rumors that speculate that Microsoft may be on the verge of launching its own smartphone. One report claims the phone will be "unique", while another site mentions the device will be similar to the Apple iPhone 5 and the Samsung Galaxy S III. TechHive quotes three separate stories—one by Boy Genius Report, another by China Times, and a third by Windows Phone Central.

Microsoft co-founder Paul Allen said he found Windows 8 puzzling and confusing initially, but is confident that users would eventually learn to like the new operating system. In a post to his personal blog Tuesday -- strangely titled in the third person as, "Paul's take on Windows 8," Allen said he has been running Windows 8 Release Preview -- the public sneak peak Microsoft shipped May 31 -- on both a traditional desktop as well as on a Samsung 700T tablet.

Logitech launches its Harmony Touch, a universal remote with a 2.4" touchscreen. This $250 model is limited to IR, it doesn't support RF like the somewhat older Harmony 900, which can already be found for less than the Harmony Touch's MSRP. The Logitech Harmony Touch is a new remote control that greatly simplifies the complex designs found in previous Harmony remotes. It's still a combination of physical buttons and a 2.4-inch color LCD touch screen, but the buttons are larger and fewer in number and the screen takes a more center position on the remote.

The american webshop NewEgg had the specs of a GeForce GTX 650 Ti from the Galaxy GTX 650 Ti GC for a little while. It seems that the product comes with 768 shader processors opposed to what was reported earlier. That would give the card a significant enough boost in performance to close in on the Radeon HD 7850.

Synology introduced DiskStation DS213air, a 2-bay NAS server with built-in Wi-Fi support for home and small office users. “Synology boasts cutting-edge technologies that deliver seamless integration, of which the DS213air is a great example,” said Rosiel Lee, product manager of Synology Inc. “By incorporating Wi-Fi technology into a feature-rich DiskStation, the DS213air has changed the way people think about NAS servers,” added Lee.
