Xiaomi Mi 34in Curved Gaming Monitor To hit Europe at only 399 Euro (3440x1440 / 144 Hz)

Initially, this model only reached the Asia markets, however, Xiaomi Mi is releasing their 34" Curved Gaming Monitor in Europe soon. at only 399 Euro. This is a 144 Hz screen, at 3440x1440 pixels.

The monitor has a 21:9 aspect ratio a slight bend at a 1500R curvature. At 144 Hz and 3440x1140 pixels it certainly hits a sweet spot for resolution and refresh rate at that price. The panel is quality as well, it originates from Samsung and covers 121% of the sRGB spectrum. The monitor does not offer HDR though, it' rated at a 300 nits brightness max, but does come with a 3000:1 contrast ratio. Connectors wise you'll spot 2x HDMI, 2x DisplayPort, and a 3.5mm audio output. It also supports AMD Freesync when using DisplayPort. since that is adaptive Sync, obviously it is also Gsync compatible.

This monitor is expected to hit the European market in the coming weeks.

What type of panel is this? IPS/VA?

Damn, and I had my shovel PG348Q for something like 1100 EUR back in the day (the idiot I was to buy it), wish there were prices lake that back then.

Also all things aside - 21:9 is quite troublesome for older games, I run a 34inch 16:9 right now, and honestly, I feel way more comfortable with it.

Less headache overall to achieve the desired outcome.

According to some specification site. Not sure if fully accurate and/or if europe model is fully same as chinese

SVA 8 bit panel
max colors 24 bit
PFS Phosphor W-LED backlight, anti glare/matte coating
sRGP 121%, NTSC 85 %
178 vieving angles
4 ms response time listed (no idea how accurate this is in reality)
2xHDMI 2.0
2xDP 1.4
1x3.5mm audio out
Picture-by-Picture and Picture-in-Picture

VA is great, personally, I think it's better than IPS due to deeper blacks.

IPS is more for professional business than VA. Superior color accuracy and almost perfect text reproduction. VA has richer colors due to better contrast, white and blacks. IPS is more like what creator wants you to see. Higher color volume does not equal accuracy, usually oversaturates. Each to his own. Personally I use both. For programming and editing I use IPS. VA is for movies and gaming.
