Gigabyte recently updated the CPU support list for its X570 AORUS XTREME motherboard, which drew attention from the meticulous online hardware community.

This update, applicable from BIOS version F35, incorporates compatibility with an unannounced AMD CPU: the "Cezanne" Ryzen 3 5100. Industry speculation indicates this upcoming CPU to be a quad-core/eight-thread processor poised for introduction to the market.

Meanwhile, the AM4 platform and Zen 3 persist in their market activity, coexisting with the 7000-series products. Notably, the forthcoming release of the "Vermeer-X" Ryzen 5 5600X3D is scheduled for exclusive availability at Micro Center retail outlets later this week. Additionally, the eight-core Ryzen 7 5700, another Cezanne-based CPU, has been observed on the motherboard support lists. Despite various media reports hinting at these processors surfacing as OEM parts on e-commerce platforms, AMD has not yet disclosed any plans for retail launch.
