The technical tests for Battlefield 2042 begin August 12 + System Requirements
In an exclusive email communication sent to a selected group of Battlefield 2042 enthusiasts EA announced that the technical test of Battlefield 2042 will begin on August 12, and end on August 15.
Even though only members of the “EA Community Playtesting” program will be able to take part in these technical tests, anyone who is not in the program or has not been selected must wait until September for their betas. Recommended for AMD is much faster though? R5 3600 (launched 2019) vs i7 4790k (launched 2014).

Requirements look pretty reasonable, but maybe those are only for the test. I hope the game is well optimized, because most people won't be able to upgrade until 2023.
