The Sonnet M.2 8x4 Silent Gen4 PCIe Card features a 48-lane PCI Express 4.0 compatible switch on its board, enabling support for various RAID configurations including RAID 0, RAID 1, RAID 10, and JBOD.

Sonnet Technologies introduced the M.2 8x4 Silent Gen4 PCIe Card, an expansion card equipped with eight M.2 SSD (NVMe) slots. This card facilitates the installation of up to eight high-capacity SSDs, exceeding the limitations imposed by native SSD options and maximizing storage capacity. The card is particularly well-suited for users who require additional storage, such as those engaged in high-resolution video editing at 6K or higher resolutions.

Operating seamlessly with Windows, macOS, and Linux operating systems, the Sonnet M.2 8x4 Silent Gen4 PCIe Card offers exceptional performance. When connected to a PCI Express Gen 4 slot in a RAID 0 configuration, the card boasts a maximum read speed of 30,000MB/s and a maximum write speed of 18,000MB/s. When connected to a Gen 3 slot, the speeds are slightly reduced, achieving 14,000MB/s for reads and 12,000MB/s for writes. The card is designed with a passive heatsink that effectively mitigates thermal concerns, resulting in silent operation. A thermal pad is also included with the M.2 8x4 Silent Gen4 PCIe Card (Model: FUS-SSD-8X4-E4S). The retail price for this product is set at $799.99.
