Rumor: GeForce GTX 1650 Ti Inbound

Rumor: GeForce GTX 1650 Ti Inbound

If you look at the NVIDIA product stack there currently is space for two more products. In the enthusiast segment an RTX 2080 Ti SUPER, but in the lower end segment there would be space for a GeForce GTX 1650 Ti, and that last one might become reality soon enough.

Earlier this year the product already popped up in registration databases. New sources that base their information in Chinese suppliers indicate and point towards the GTX 1650 Ti with a launch late September or early October. The GeForce GTX 1650 Ti would be loaded with either 1152 or 1280 shader processors, compared to the 896 cores of the non-Ti variant. Memory type and bus remain a bit of a question marker, but in this segment we expect that to stick to GDDR5.

The timing is interesting, as we've been hering a number of rumors on a possible NAVI based Radeon RX 5600, based on that assumption a GeForce GTX 1650 Ti would be timed quite perfectly as a counter measurement from NVIDIA.

This landed at the same time as navi 14 leak. I guess the two will compete.

I would have assumed the 5600XT Navi would compete more with the GTX 1660Ti but perhaps there will be 5600/5600XT and then 5500/5500XT as all niches are filled out and 580 is replaced etc.

For this card the memory bus and amount of memory will be interesting. If it sticks to 4GB and 128bit then it would same more sensible to pay a bit extra for the 1660. At the bottom end it is only a small amount of money to jump a tier. Lets see how it is priced though.

I actually hope for the 2080 Ti Super. After all, who doesn't want more power?

Would be interested in what their pricing would look like, if they had 3-4 SKUs in the GeForce family.
Something like: enthusiast or cheap Quadro for work (~2080Ti), Mid (2060-2070), "Better then integrated" (xx30-xx50).
