Intel Xeon server parts have never been cheap, and that trend continues. The soon-to-be-announced Intel Xeon Scalable processors codenamed Ice Lake-SP have surfaced in a list, alongside the alleged pricing. 

The product names and models have been known for a while now; however, pricing has been missing. Server manufacturer Hewlett Packard Enterprise had it online, though. The listing as posted by momomo_us reveals no less than eighteen Xeon Platinum and Gold models with 16, 18, 28, 32, 38, and ... 40 cores. The flagship Xeon Platinum 8380 gets 40 cores at 2.3GHz. Tagged at 8411 euros ($9,875)) you still need to add the VAT, so that boils down towards a cool 10G. On the other side, AMD offers a 64-core part AMD Epyc 7742 at the 7200 EUR marker incl VAT.
