Good news for anyone interested in acquiring a GeForce RTX 3090 Ti card but who is unable to purchase a new power supply with a 12VHPWR connector. NVIDIA will be bundling an adapter. You'll need a beefy PSU though.

It's a three-to-one converter, your power supply must still have at least three 8-pin PCIe power connectors available. In addition, the adapter is stated to be capable of supplying 450 Watts of power to the graphics card + 75 over the PCIe bus, and that correlates to a TGP number of leaks and rumors on the GeForce RTX 3090 Ti graphics card. The fact that these mechanical adapters will not allow the graphics card to communicate with the power supply is important to note because this is an option that looks to be reserved for ATX 3.0 power supplies at this time. It's not the sexiest cable to look at. Hopefully, some power supply manufacturers will come up with a more elegant solution, at the very least until the transition to ATX 3.0 power supplies takes place.
