Netflix allows people to watch films and series without a subscription
Netflix created a so-called Watch For Free page in its apps. People can watch a number of films and series for free without a subscription. Viewers do not need a Netflix account for these films and series.
Only first episodes of the series can be watched for free, after which viewers are reminded that they must take out a subscription to continue watching. Currently, the first episodes of Stranger Things , Élite and When They See Us are listed.
Netflix has also made some movies available for free. For example, people without an account can watch Netflix movies such as The Two Popes , Bird Box and Murder Mystery. The company says it refreshes the offer on the page "regularly", although it has not been disclosed how often this happens. The videos can only be viewed via web browsers on computers or Android devices. The iOS browser is not supported.
The page replaces the one-month trial period, which Netflix ended earlier this year.

I do not like the idea that my subscription money is being used to give people free content - not happy at all.

Well the free trial was also paid by your subscription fee... This should be of a lesser concern as there's not much choice.
