MSI GeForce GTX 780 Ti Lightning Photo's

MSI GeForce GTX 780 Ti Lightning Photo's

The weirdest thing, Comptoir Hardware apparantly received a a sample of the GeForce GTX 780 Ti Lightning and posted photo's on it. The Lightning Ti comes with a GK110-425-B1 GPU (2880 Cuda cores) and runs at 993 MHz core and 1058 MHz boost while the memory comes at a clock speed of 7000 MHz. The GeForce GTX 780 Lightning Ti has a 16+3+1 phase VRM along with the new DrMOS 4 being the next-gen MOSFET which is used to deliver the power for the CPU. The card is powered through Dual 8-Pin connectors.

MSI uses their Triple force architecture on the card

  • An on-board LED that shows real-time load on the card by displaying three colors, Green for Light Load, Blue for medium load and Red for Heavy Load.
  • Pure Digital PWM control which offers more precise voltage, power/voltage control via MSI afterburner application and faster V response time.
  • The TriFrozr Cooler.

Anyway have a peek at the photo's, courtesy of Comptoir Hardware.

As always, the lightnings are great looking cards. These go so well with the Mpower mobos especially if you have a see-through side panel.

Yay Msi... another let down of promises that you dont deliver on or take 40 years?... bought 3 of the 780 lightnings after the whole charade of waiting/PR stuff they did.. Wasn't really that surprised by them, especially since since I had to use a "Non-approved/Non-MSI" user's bios he spent his time doing instead of them... Not to mention they weren't cherry picked even though the price was higher then every other card and was outperformed by at least 2 of them.Still haven't looked to see if they released the 300% limit bios they said they would.. I returned them all, just before they hit 500-550$ as well... Good call imo.. We'll see if they deliver this time... Or I'll just shoot for Kingpin's card (slightly fugly, but its whats inside that counts right? ;P )

*Don't get me wrong they are sturdy cards etc, but if your looking @ these you may want to check out the MSI 780 Lightning (Non-TI) forums with alot of the people complaining for quite a long time about them. Of courrse give some leniency to personal stupidity and the unknowing, but it may shed some light for you on these perhaps.
