Be Quiet!, the Germany-based PC components manufacturer, introduces the Straight Power 12 series, enlarging their existing collection of ATX 3.0 compatible power supplies.
The Straight Power 12 series boasts of an 80 Plus Platinum certification, silent cooling, a wire-free interior, and a robust 12 V rail, all designed to accommodate high-end builds requiring both current and future generation GPUs. The series offers five different power options: 750 W, 850 W, 1000 W, 1200 W, and a robust 1500 W for high-demand power usage.
The Straight Power 12 is designed as a future-resistant power supply, demonstrating an 80 Plus Platinum certification (with up to 94% efficiency and a standby drain under 0.1 watts), and is fully ATX 3.0 compatible. It incorporates up to two 12VHPWR 600 W connectors and four PCIe 6+2 connectors to support high-end GPUs effectively. With a Full Bridge LLC topology, the Straight Power 12 is engineered to manage maximum power excursions while maintaining optimal signal stability. This power supply comprises a robust 12 V rail for enhanced user experience and improved overclocking support. The inclusion of 105°C-certified Japanese capacitors mitigates the high-frequency electronic noise typically encountered during extreme load fluctuations, particularly with contemporary graphics cards. Cooling is provided by a Silent Wings 135 mm fan, which in combination with a funnel-shaped fan opening, facilitates high airflow intake for cooling the internal components.
Internally wire-free yet externally modular, the Straight Power 12 showcases a wire-free design on the DC side where all connections are integrated directly into the PCB. With no cables obstructing the airflow within the power supply, the component temperatures are efficiently managed, enhancing signal quality and reducing interference from magnetic fields. This design feature also contributes to an extended lifespan for the power supply components. On the external side, the power supply unit includes modular cable management to facilitate easy installation. The detachable, sleeved cables can be separately routed and installed, thus avoiding cable clutter and optimizing airflow within the PC case.
Safety remains a priority for Be Quiet!, and the Straight Power 12 includes a full array of protection circuits, namely overcurrent protection (OCP), overvoltage protection (OVP), undervoltage protection (UVP), short-circuit protection (SCP), overload protection (OPP), and overtemperature protection (OTP). The power supply also comes with a 10-year manufacturer's warranty.
The Straight Power 12 series will be available at select retailers starting June 27.
