Dell releases 18 inch XPS series tablet
Dell released a tablet slash all-in-one product with a massive 18 inch screen. The Windows 8 device can be used as mobile and tablet. The fun thing is that the tablet part can function as screen as it has stands on the backside as well as a monitor-dock. Dell did not share that much info in their announcement but the screen resolution will be 1920x1080 pixels and the product weighs in at 2.2 Kilogram.
Dell will deliver a keyboard and monitor stand with the product. It is mentioned that the processor will be an energy friendly Intel Core variant, the Intel Core ULT series processors. Alongside Dell Lenovo and Sony will release similar products soon as well.

Does it come with a carrying handle like the old 19" XPS?

So...we're taking off the legs of the all-in-one pc/monitors with a touchscreen, adding "attachment legs", giving it a battery, and calling it a tablet now are we?

With some of the crazy prices these days I'm expecting to see something like $2000 for this. To be honest I think tablets are overrated. My little Eee PC was only $300 and is most likely more useful to me than a tablet could be.
The eee pc that ceased to work whenever something was written to the hard drive?
Got to be the slowest ssd i've ever experienced, i'm amazed they could even sell it, it was barely functional. I assume the hard drive versions were better though.

Sure, I like technology, and while this thing is an interesting idea, the prices of some of these tablets and that new Xi3 Piston gaming thing is downright silly.
