German-based PC component producer, be quiet!, introduces its latest offering, the Dark Base Pro 901, a successor to the Dark Base Pro 900. The new model boasts innovative features with a focus on performance optimization and noise reduction.
The model's versatility is highlighted by flexible design elements on the top and front, ease of system construction with an inverted layout, ARGB lighting, vertical VGA installation, and a 15W wireless charger. In conjunction, be quiet! presents its Riser Cable and HDD Cage 2.
The Dark Base Pro 901 incorporates adjustable panels in its design, optimizing silence and performance at both the top and front sections. The detachable top and front bracket are complemented by a fan hub and pogo pin connector, making radiator and fan installation hassle-free. The model also includes an intuitive rail system to facilitate an inverted layout. Silent Wings 4 fans, renowned for their silent operation and high performance, are integrated into the Dark Base Pro 901, enhancing the cooling performance of the case.
The Dark Base Pro 901 allows ample room for individual customization, with the ability to accommodate a radiator of up to 420 mm and additional fans throughout the case, including on the side panel. The versatile VGA holder in the Dark Base Pro 901 prevents GPU sag. Two cable bars, one situated within the VGA holder and the other next to the motherboard tray, conceal the cables within the case. Storage options include room for one 5.25" drive, two HDDs or six SSDs as standard, with the ability to expand this further. A full-windowed tempered glass side panel affords an unobstructed view of the case's interior components. The case's assembly is made convenient by reducing the requirement for additional screws and small parts.
In terms of design, the Dark Base Pro 901 features ARGB lighting on the front and PSU shroud for understated elegance. Light and fan settings are controlled via touch-sensitive buttons on the I/O panel. The case also includes a wireless charger for Qi-enabled devices and comes with a 3-year manufacturer's warranty.
In addition to the Dark Base Pro 901, be quiet! also introduces the Riser Cable and HDD Cage 2. The Riser Cable is a high-speed data transfer cable for PCIe 4.0 cards that fits all be quiet! cases compatible with a vertical graphics card installation. It also helps prevent the graphics card from sagging. The HDD Cage 2 is a decoupled drive cage that fits an additional HDD or two SSDs in the Dark Base Pro 901 and future cases.
The Dark Base Pro 901, the Riser Cable, and HDD Cage 2 will be available from June 27. The suggested retail prices are €319.90 / $299.90 / £319.99 for the case, €59.90 / $54.90 / £59.99 for the Riser Cable, and €9.90 / $9.90 / £9.99 for the HDD Cage 2.
