ASUS BIOS List for AMD Ryzen 2000 - Make your Motherboard compatible with Raven Ridge APUs
ASUS BIOS List for AMD Ryzen 2000 - Make your Motherboard compatible with Raven Ridge APUs
AMD is soon to release their Ryzen 3 2200G and Ryzen 5 2400G APUs. These are Ryzen based processors with an integrated Radeon VEGA graphics solution. Your 300 Series Chipset motherboard is compatible, manufacturers are supporting the APUs with firmware updates, including ASUS.
The BIOS updates make the AMD 300 series, including A320 / B350 and X370 compatible and as it seems, ASUS has 20 BIOSes ready. To get Raven Ridge APUs working, a BIOS update is mandatory.
The following AMD AM4 Series motherboards can be updated with the listed (or later) BIOS and driver version for compatibility with the all-new AMD Ryzen® 2000 Series with Radeon™ Vega graphics APU.

I think he's talking about in terms of physical connectors not being present on the motherboard. how would you make use of the APU if you cant plug in your monitor(s) to get a display?
if you're thinking get a discrete GPU, install that, and then you're good to go? then whats the point of the APU in that board in the first place
You dont need a driver, it works just with that BIOS, but you have to download amd drivers on amds website later

The list includes the 'ROG Strix b350-i' which doesnt have any video outputs.. Would i be correct in assuming that theyre prepping it for me to be able to use it with pinnacle ridge CPU's or will i still need a 4xx board for that?

As an aside I'd recommend that people don't update their BIOS right away if they don't need to. As in unless they need compatibility with the new 2000 series APU's. Wait until it's certain that there aren't any bugs. Often on releases for new hardware there are bugs that don't occur until they get out in the wild.
