AMD has confirmed the global availability of the Ryzen 5 7500F desktop processor from July 24th, priced at $179.

Initial conjectures indicating an exclusive launch in China were dispelled. The Ryzen 5 7500F is a distinct model in the Ryzen 7000 series, identified by its 'F' suffix, indicating the lack of an integrated graphics processing unit (GPU). The 'F' suffix, in line with Intel's product naming system, is aimed at eliminating customer confusion. Unlike some AMD Ryzen models featuring integrated graphics based on the RDNA 2 architecture, the Ryzen 5 7500F has a deactivated GPU. This factor may not be pertinent for users who do not require high-grade graphics performance, akin to what Ryzen 5 5700G offers, but it is suitable for emergency screen outputs and system checks.

AMD has revealed the specifications of the Ryzen 5 7500F. The processor utilizes Zen 4 architecture and includes six CPU cores, twelve threads, 6MB of L2 cache, and 32MB of L3 cache. It provides a base clock speed of 3.7GHz and a boost clock speed of 5.0GHz. This model has a thermal design power (TDP) of 65 watts and includes a Wraith Stealth cooler. With its pricing in the US listed as $179, the Ryzen 5 7500F serves as a cost-effective option in the Ryzen 5 7000 series. This reduced cost is primarily due to the lack of an integrated GPU, a feature that other Ryzen 5 7000 CPUs with an RNDA 2 igpu containing two compute units possess.

Preliminary performance benchmarks from the Korean publication, QuasarZone, show the Ryzen 5 7500F exceeding similar Intel models, like the Core i5-13500 and 13400, in gaming applications. Its performance parallels the Ryzen 5 7600, with a marginally reduced frames per second (fps) count. It operates at approximately 5 percent lesser capacity than the 7600X. Concerning CPU temperature and power usage, the Ryzen 5 7500F registers lower levels compared to the previously mentioned processors.
