Amazon Netherlands lists Intel Core i9-12900K in webshop for 847 euros

Amazon has made three distinct Intel Alder Lake processors available for listing in its Dutch webstore. Although the CPUs in question are not yet available, the retailing behemoth has already published pricing information and product photos.

According to Twitter user Dellchannel21, Amazon has published listings for the Intel Core i9-12900K, Core i7-12700K, and Core i5-12600K processors. It is offered on Amazon for 846.92 euros, including VAT, for the Intel Core i9 variant, which has a total of sixteen cores in total. In terms of price, the Core i7-12700K is 641.38 euros, while the Core i5 model is 323.83 euros. It is worth noting that these Core i9 and Core i7 processors are more expensive than they were previously listed at other Dutch webshops. It cannot be ruled out that prices are merely placeholders for actual prices.

Amazon also lists clock rates for the Core i9 processor as 3.2GHz, 3.6GHz for the Core i7 processor, and 3.7GHz for the Core i5 processor. These base clocks of those chips were previously released, and this correlates to them. According to the same listings, those processors will have turbo rates of up to 5.3GHz, 5.0GHz, and 4.9GHz, depending on the model.

Processor Product code cores Base clock boost clock L3 cache Price
Intel Core i9-12900K BX8071512900K 8P + 8E 3.2GHz 5.3GHz 30MB ?846.92
Intel Core i7-12700K BX8071512700K 8P + 4E 3.6GHz 5.0GHz 25MB ?641.38
Intel Core i5-12600K BX8071512600K 6P + 4E 3.7GHz 4.9GHz 20MB ?323.83

The Alder Lake chips are scheduled to be officially announced during Intel's Innovation event, which will take place at the end of October. The CPUs will be on sale on November 4th, according to prior rumors, and web stores will begin accepting pre-orders a week early. The K and KF CPUs are slated to be the first to be released by Intel, with the latter variations being the only ones to lack an integrated GPU. Non-K variants, as well as laptop chips, are likely to be released at a later point.

Amazon NL also listed a 3070 for €5000 a couple of weeks ago.

Wouldn't trust Amazon prices.

this is basically the new normal,a six core launching at 330eur.
im gonna pass until I see them well below 250,people can get milked out of their money all they want.if I don't then oh well, gonna wait for better deals.

though rkl-s was at least priced accordingly to performance,I suspect 12th gen will be more like r5000 not 11th and zen4 will be a new standard in overpricing once again.

Yeah... I don't like these prices one bit, but they're in line with those leaked American listings from a couple of weeks ago. Looks like we either get used to getting fleeced by both manufacturers or just buy the previous generation when it gets discounted. People do that with flagship phones all the time now, might as well start doing that with CPUs.

Kind of interesting that the i7 is more expensive than Ryzen 5900X.

But then again, who knows if these are the real prices. Furthermore, the performance across the whole spectrum of applications still remains to be seen.
