  AMD has unveiled the latest iteration of AMD Software Adrenalin, Version 24.2.1 WHQL, featuring optimizations for "Skull and Bones" and "Nightingale." Notably, Radeon RX 7900 GRE support was introduced in July 2023 upon the GPU's China-exclusive launch.

  Additionally, this release expands the Vulkan API feature-set with new extensions. Numerous issues have been addressed, including:

  • Resolution of an intermittent driver-timeout issue observed in "Helldivers 2" on RX 7000 series GPUs.
  • Mitigation of excessive stutter during gameplay in titles like "Battlefield 2042," "Destiny 2," "Overwatch 2," "Monster Hunter: World," "PUBG: BATTLEGROUNDS," and "STAR WARS Battlefront II."
  • Correction of prolonged game loading times in "Deathloop" on specific cards such as RX 6900 XT.

  Furthermore, fixes encompass various issues such as:

  • "Deadspace" crashes on select RX 6000 series cards with RTAO enabled.
  • Intermittent application crashes upon first launch of "Enshrouded" or when altering AA settings, along with resolution of associated visual artifacts.
  • Rectification of HDR settings failing to apply in "Like A Dragon: Infinite Wealth."
  • Resolution of intermittent driver-timeouts in "Counterstrike 2" with FSR enabled on RX 7900 XTX.
  • Accurate reporting of graphics API in Vulkan games previously misreported as DirectX 12.
  • Prevention of Parsec host application crashes post-reboot.
  • Elimination of Microsoft Teams' looped webcam footage display issue on Ryzen 7 7840U.
  • Correction of a green tint issue observed in Oculus Rift S with certain RX 7000 series products.
  • Rectification of AFMF misrepresentation in hybrid GPU setups, clarifying that AFMF functionality is exclusive to supported GPU configurations.
